Founders Associate – Finance, Strategy & OaaS Operations (m/f/d)
Role Overview
As a Founders Associate, you are the CEO’s strategic partner and the financial architect of the company. We don’t sell hardware; we deliver results. Our business is built from the ground up as a native Outcome-as-a-Service (OaaS) provider, billing our clients per m³ of output.
You will manage the corporate budget, lead financial modeling for upcoming funding rounds, and validate our service model’s economic viability in the field. This role requires a sharp financial mind that isn't afraid to get their boots muddy on a construction site to optimize site-level profitability.
Example Core Responsibilities
Corporate Finance & Budget Management
- Master Budgeting: Build and maintain the company’s master budget. You manage the P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet modeling, ensuring we maintain a healthy runway and hit our financial milestones.
- Fundraising & Investor Relations: Lead the financial preparation for our next financing round. You will build the investment models, manage the data room, and craft the equity story that demonstrates the scalability of our OaaS model.
OaaS Business Case & Unit Economics
- Native OaaS Modeling: Refine our unit economics. You will analyze profitability per m³, factoring in hardware depreciation, energy, labor, setup times vs. active operating hours.
- Economic PoC: Validate – both theoretically and through site data – that our "pay-per-output" model provides superior value compared to traditional equipment sales.
Market Research & Validation
- Market Acceptance: Conduct rigorous research to gauge how construction firms react to the shift from CAPEX (buying equipment) to OPEX (buying a service).
- Validation Campaigns: Launch and manage campaigns to test pricing elasticity and service-model acceptance among key customer segments.
Process Analysis & Site Enablement
- Site Logistics: Perform detailed on-site analysis of workflows (e.g., water management, site logistics) to standardize OaaS deployments and minimize non-productive setup times.
You own everything that lands on the table – from high-stakes board presentations to hands-on administrative tasks and day-to-day operations. You act as a flexible force multiplier for the CEO, ensuring no ball is dropped, regardless of the task's nature or scale.
Your Profile
- Strong Finance Background: Experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Venture Capital, or a leading finance role in a high-growth startup.
