Mission
Write code that moves real robots. As a software intern you'll work alongside our engineers on the software that lets our machines perceive, plan, and drive on real construction sites. You won't be stuck on toy problems, you'll ship code that runs on actual hardware. This is a learning role tailored to strong students who love robotics and want to build.
Responsibilities & Outcomes
- Contribute to our robotics software stack (ROS2, Python, C++).
- Help build features for perception, autonomy, data processing, or internal tools and dashboards.
- Write, test, and debug code — and see it run on real robots in the field.
- Support field testing and iterate quickly on feedback.
- Learn our codebase and engineering practices, taking on more ownership as you grow.
Cultural Competencies
- Hacker spirit paired with a willingness to learn engineering discipline.
- Genuine passion for robotics and real-world impact.
- Autonomous and curious, you dig into problems and figure things out.
- Low-ego, collaborative, and eager to learn from more senior engineers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing, or have completed a B.Sc/M.Sc in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Solid programming fundamentals in Python and/or C++.
- Some exposure to robotics, ROS/ROS2, Linux, or real hardware projects (uni, research, or personal projects all count).
- No professional experience required, but prior internships or research/working-student roles — especially in robotics — are a plus. Strong fundamentals, good projects, and genuine robotics interest matter most.
- Available for more than 3 months (longer is strongly preferred) as a full-time or working-student internship; German is helpful but not required.
