Mission
Own the robot as one system. Our robots remove concrete with high-pressure water on live construction sites, and every one of them is a meeting point of mechanics, electronics and control. You make sure those parts fit together, get built right and keep working when the site is wet, dusty, loud and full of vibration.
Responsibilities & Outcomes
- Design and integrate mechatronic subsystems end to end, from mechanism and actuator choice to motors, sensors, wiring and the interface to control software.
- Build, wire and commission prototypes yourself, in the workshop and on site.
- Own the interfaces between mechanics, electronics and software, so a change in one discipline does not break the other two.
- Design for the real environment. Water, concrete slurry, vibration, dust and weather are the baseline, not the edge case.
- Work to the relevant norms from the start, CE conformity, electrical equipment of machines (IEC 60204-1) and machine safety (ISO 13849).
- Troubleshoot on site, turn field data into the next iteration and document what the next person needs to know.
What Makes This Role Different
- You work across the whole machine, not on one component of a large product.
- What you design goes from CAD and wiring diagram to a live construction site within weeks, not years.
- Small team, direct line to the founders. If you think a decision is wrong, you say it, and it changes things.
- Construction robotics is a young field. Many of the problems you will solve here have no textbook answer yet.
Cultural Competencies
- Questions decisions, specs and founders, then commits once the call is made.
- Solves problems personally instead of coordinating them.
- Happy to get hands dirty, in the workshop or on site.
- Thinks in systems but does not lose the detail.
- Low ego, direct feedback in both directions.
