Mission
Be the bridge between our robots and the real construction site. You’ll bring our robots to the field, get them running under real conditions, and keep the feedback loop tight between the site and our engineering team. This is not a short-term role: ideally you stay on and grow into our first Forward Deployed Engineer, owning deployments end-to-end and taking on a key role as we scale.
Responsibilities & Outcomes
- Deploy, set up, and commission our robots on real construction sites.
- Build up, tear down, and test our field setup — especially early on, you’ll get hands-on and help move, assemble, and prepare the gear.
- Operate robots in live field conditions and troubleshoot on the spot (sensors, configs, mechanics, edge cases that never show up in the lab).
- Onboard and support site crews — explain operation and safety, and build trust with non-technical users.
- Capture what you see in the field and feed it back to the software and hardware teams in a structured way.
- Grow into ownership of the deployment process as our first Forward Deployed Engineer.

Requirements
- Enrolled student, ideally in Robotics, Mechantronics, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on and handy — comfortable with tools, hardware, and physical site work.
- Motivated to work on-site in real conditions (dust, weather, construction reality).
- ~20h/week during the semester, flexible — with the option to work full-time during semester breaks.
